Dr. R. Graham Greenland, DDS, MS

Dr. R. Graham Greenland grew up in Rockford, Michigan, where his family owned and operated a small convenience store called Uncle Lee’s Trading Post. He graduated from Rockford High School in 2006 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2010.

In the fall of 2010, immediately before starting dental school, Dr. Greenland was diagnosed with Stage III Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He was treated with chemotherapy and radiation at the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion and reached remission in May 2011. He returned to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and graduated with his DDS in 2015.

With that personal experience and a passion for material science, he completed a three-year Advanced Prosthodontics Residency at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Rochester, Minnesota — an intensive, multidisciplinary program covering fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics. He then completed a year-long fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center focused on oral oncology and maxillofacial prosthetics, receiving advanced training in prosthesis design and management.

Grand Rapids has always felt like home to Dr. Greenland. He built Greenland Advanced Oral Care to promote oral health and wellness by bridging the gap between dental and medical care providers — including an in-house dental laboratory so that complex restorations are designed and fabricated under the same roof as the treatment. In his down time, he enjoys photography, biking the White Pine Trail, and reading current literature to stay up to date in the clinic.
